HOME BUYERS BEWARE: When you click on a Zillow listing you are NOT being put in touch with the listing agent. Your contact information is immediately sold to an agent who has signed up to purchase Zillows "leads". By clicking, you just became a "lead". And about 30 seconds later, your phone will ring with a random agent asking you when you want to visit the property.

I just closed a deal where the buyer's agent put a stipulation in the contract that instructed the closing attorney to send 40% (yes 40%) of the buyer's agent commission to Zillow.

If you wanted to know how Zillow makes money, now you know!

So before you click on a listing on Zillow and get sold as a lead to a random agent, track down the real listing agent. The best way to do this is on Homes.com - they do not sell their leads.
