🕰️🔮 So what’s the deal with Friday the 13th?
Ever wonder why this day gets such a spooky reputation?

Here’s a little history for your feed:

👉 The number 13 has been considered unlucky for centuries—going all the way back to Norse mythology and the Last Supper.
👉 Friday was once viewed as an “unlucky” day to begin journeys, hold weddings, or sign contracts.
👉 Put them together and boom—you’ve got a superstition sandwich people have feared since at least the 1800s.

📚 The fear even has a name: paraskevidekatriaphobia (say that three times fast).

But hey—I don’t buy into the bad luck stuff. In fact, Friday the 13th might just be the perfect day to take a bold step—like looking for your next home. 😉

🏖️ Free beaches – That’s right! Places like Atlantic City and Wildwood don’t charge beach tags. Sand between your toes without spending a dime.

🦁 Cape May County Zoo – One of the best (and free!) zoos around. Perfect day trip with the fam.

🥾 Hiking trails galore – From the Pine Barrens to the Delaware Water Gap, NJ has trails for every level. Bonus: fresh air and no entry fee.

🍝 Homemade Chicken Parm Night = A Win 🙌
Last night we sat down as a family for dinner—no phones, no tablets, just conversation (and second helpings 😅).

I made chicken parmesan with a homemade sauce—a family recipe that Kerrie put her own twist on—and let me tell you, it was 🔥. Even the cat tried to sneak a bite (don’t worry, we didn’t let him… but he was very interested 😂).

There’s something really special about slowing down and just being present at the dinner table. No screens, no distractions—just good food, lots of laughs, and time together.

These are the kinds of moments that matter most. 💬❤️

About 3 months ago, I shared that we suddenly lost our beloved cat, Tonks. That one hit hard — she was such a big part of our family.

Last week, we decided it was time to open our hearts again, so we took a trip to (Voorhees Animal Orphanage) — and came home with this wild little orange tabby.

Meet Goose. 🧡
Yes — that Goose. Between Top Gun and the MCU, keeping the name was a no-brainer. And honestly, it fits him perfectly.

He’s a handful and a half, a total stage 5 clinger, and absolutely hilarious. He already sleeps with Cub every night, has an odd obsession with coffee, and does everything with that unmistakable ginger cat flair.

But here’s the crazy part — Goose has a black ring at the very tip of his tail. Totally unique. We like to think it’s a little sign from Tonks, letting us know she approves. 💫

We’re so glad he found us. 🐾

Before you fall in love with that dream home, take a closer look at the disclosure docs. Here are a few key red flags to watch for:

🔍 Water Damage
Mold, stains, or musty smells? Could be signs of bigger structural problems (and big repair bills). Don’t ignore the drips.

🐜 Pest Infestations
Termites, rodents, or previous infestations can mean long-term damage. You want a solid house, not a hidden colony.

🛠️ Renovations or Repairs
Recent updates? Great. But were they permitted and done right? Unpermitted work = potential safety or legal issues.

📏 Property Disputes or Boundary Issues
You’re not just buying a home—you’re buying the land it sits on. Know where the lines are, literally and legally.
