My passion for historic homes stems from my early childhood, coming from a small town in Pennsylvania. I have gained knowledge through a formal education as well as life experiences (I rode the roller coaster no less). I believe you have to get your hands dirty and your brain saturated through hard work, mentally and physically. Realizing how it was built, when it was built and the materials (ornate and structural) that were used to get and keep it in its original form. I am fascinated by the early 1800's era and imagine the families and their daily life styles living in these homes back in the day. There is just no way to put a value on a structure that has so many stories to tell....if walls could only talk !
