BHOH is looking for the following:

A Traveling Resource Representative ( TR2)

The BHOH Traveling Resource Representative will accompany the ministry leader on select out-of-town trips to assist with the pickup and/or delivery of donated resources and supplies. BHOH receives donations from individuals, organizations, and supporters outside our local area, and this position helps ensure those resources are handled professionally, respectfully, and responsibly.

Travel Expectations:
Some trips may require traveling out of town or out of state. Hotel accommodations and meals will be provided when overnight travel is necessary. Many donation trips will be same-day turnaround trips, depending on distance and circumstances.

Although our primary purpose is ministry work, we will take time to fellowship with donors when appropriate. The representative must be cordial, respectful, professional, and welcoming at all times.

3 STRICT RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Donation & Resource Support
Assist with the safe pickup, loading, transportation, unloading, and delivery of donated items. Help ensure all resources entrusted to BHOH are handled with care and reach their intended destination.

2. Donor Representation & Fellowship
Represent BHOH professionally when interacting with donors, supporters, organizations, and community partners. Be cordial, respectful, discreet, and willing to fellowship with donors while maintaining appropriate ministry boundaries.

3. Travel & Ministry Readiness
Be prepared to travel when needed, follow the direction of the ministry leader, attend required training/orientation provided by the ministry leader, and assist with trip-related responsibilities from departure through completion.

Do not take, misuse, remove, discuss, or personally benefit from donated resources or confidential donor information. Do not engage in inappropriate behavior, gossip, arguments, drama, or conduct that could bring embarrassment or dishonor to BHOH or the ministries we serve.

BHOH is my baby, and I do not take lightly who God places around me or what He has entrusted to us. This is more than a travel opportunity—it is a position of trust.

As with every position within BHOH and our other ministries, you MUST have a genuine prayer life. I am not looking for someone who simply says, “I know Him.” I need to see Him in you—in your character, your conduct, your attitude, your integrity, and the way you treat people.

You will be traveling with me, representing the ministry, interacting with donors, and being trusted with what God has placed before us. Therefore, everyone selected must be spiritually grounded, teachable, dependable, respectful, discreet, and able to conduct themselves professionally.

This position is not for just anybody. It is for someone I can trust.

Training and orientation will be provided by the ministry leader, and attendance is required before serving in this capacity.

A Prevention & Wellness Advocate (PWA)
Prevention & Wellness Advocate

Position Purpose:
The Prevention & Wellness Advocate is responsible for supporting the ministry’s community health and prevention efforts by providing safer-s*x supplies, educational information, and compassionate outreach to individuals in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pick up and transport condoms, personal protection items, educational materials, and other approved wellness supplies.
- Distribute safer-s*x supplies and prevention materials in a respectful, confidential, and nonjudgmental manner.
- Teach and communicate the importance of safer s*x, personal responsibility, healthy decision-making, and disease prevention.
- Provide basic educational information and direct individuals to appropriate professional health resources when needed.
- Maintain discretion and protect the privacy and dignity of everyone served.
- Keep supplies organized, secure, and properly stocked.
- Represent the ministry professionally, respectfully, and in a manner consistent with its values.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries when interacting with community members.
- Communicate supply needs and outreach concerns to ministry leadership.
- Attend required training or meetings related to the position.

Professional Expectations:
The Prevention & Wellness Advocate must demonstrate maturity, confidentiality, compassion, dependability, and professionalism at all times. This individual serves as a representative of the ministry and is expected to conduct themselves accordingly both during outreach activities and when interacting with community partners and the public.

1. MINISTRY MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR (M2C2)

We are looking for someone who is God-oriented, dependable, creative, teachable, and passionate about serving others. This position is about more than making posts or updating a website. It is about helping our ministry’s message, mission, and heart reach people beyond the walls of our ministry.

You should have a genuine desire to serve, a heart for people, and a passion for helping others. Most importantly, you should believe in what we are doing and be willing to help us share the work God is allowing us to do.

What You’ll Help With:

• Manage and update our social media pages
• Keep our website current and up to date
• Share ministry announcements, events, outreach opportunities, and updates
• Help create engaging and meaningful content
• Help communicate our ministry’s vision and mission online
• Maintain a consistent, positive, and professional online presence
• Help highlight the people, families, and communities we serve with consent
• Assist with photographs, videos, graphics, and other digital content when needed
• Help ensure important information is posted accurately and in a timely manner
• Bring fresh ideas and creativity to how we reach people digitally

A NOTE ABOUT THE POSITION

You do not have to know everything.

The title Coordinator is intentional. It allows room for us to teach, mentor, train, and develop someone who has the heart and passion for the work but may need to learn the technical side of managing social media and a website.

I could manage these responsibilities myself, but I would rather teach someone who genuinely shares the same passion for serving others and believes in the vision of this ministry.

We can teach you the technical skills.

What we cannot teach is a genuine heart for serving, compassion for people, commitment, integrity, and a passion for the work God has placed in our hands.

As I sit here in this doctor’s office I have to be honest with myself. Over the last six weeks, I have been overdoing it. I have pushed my body far beyond what I normally would because I’ve been trying to help everybody I possibly can. I’ve said yes when my body was screaming no. I’ve kept pushing because I never want anyone to feel like they’re without help, but today, I realize I have to do better at taking care of LaShonda too.

I have been in so much pain lately that, as of right now, I’m not even able to walk like I normally can. So for a season, I have to slow down, listen to my body, rest, and most importantly, listen for the voice of God before I make another move.
So if I told you I would pick something up, drop something off, collect donations, or get items to you, please forgive me and give me some time. I am not forgetting you. I am not ignoring you. I simply need time to rest, get myself together, and get back on my feet.

I love helping people. That part of me isn’t changing, but I’m learning that I cannot pour from an empty, hurting vessel.

For now, I’m pressing pause...not because I don’t care, but because I need to care for the person God has entrusted me with too. Please keep me in your prayers. When I am ready and able, I will reach back out.

Sometimes faith looks like serving.
Sometimes faith looks like saying “Lord, I need You to help me rest.”

And today, that’s where I am.

“Just a thought… If I assist you when you’re down and help you get back on your feet, when you’re standing again, can you bless somebody else? Because help is meant to be a bridge, not a permanent destination. We have to learn to receive a blessing, rebuild, and then become a blessing to someone else. I am so grateful for my mother Alberta Stephens she is the most amazing woman in my life. This lady always is supportive, generous in her giving, she's always praying for me Lord, i can be sick and something in her will alert her motherly senses lol on today my mom blessed our ministry ( in which she is apart of ) not only did she purchase two handful of backpacks but upon checkout we received a discount ( not tax related ...Look at God ) my mom also purchased items for those unsheltered I was concerned about the prices because my mom doesn't work anymore but she wasn't trying to hear that she wasn't thinking about the prices nor the quanity. Ma I walked ahead of you because I was on the brink of tears I thank you so much. God, I thank you for my mom not just for her generosity, but because of who she is in you. I can't forget to lift up my son he worked a 12 hrs shift he hopped out the firetruck and into our jeep feet to the pavement doing ministry work right alongside me.
Oan: i'm super excited because in between donation drop-offs. I got a chance to see my grandson at football practice came home and my Godson was here... I'm just all smiles today
