I just read an article in Readers Digest (yes I still read Readers DigestšŸ˜‚) that warns us to not use black plastic for any reason.
Not as takeout containers
Not in our kitchen utensils-
The composition of the black plastic is heavily made up of ā€˜dirtyā€™ recycled materials that leeches carcinogens into our food šŸ˜‘ It went even farther in saying donā€™t recycle these materials, throw them away to stop them from being recycled into other household products including childrenā€™s toys.
Solution? Wooden for our scratch-able cookware and stainless steel for everything else
Now we know!
