I have been selling in the Blackstone Valley Area of South Worcester County for nearly 40 years and have seen several markets come and go. Career-wise I have been a Realtor since 1986 working primarily in the Blackstone Valley Area of Central Massachusetts and South Worcester County. Originally, I worked for a builder for 7years where I became familiar with the construction trades and home buildin
g process. I did a lot of volunteer work with the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce and after much committee work, was elected to President in 1999-2000. My next phase was at a small Realty Company where I represented several local builders along with buyer and seller clients. Intrigued by how a large firm was run, I joined a RE/MAX office with over 100 agents during the mid 2000s where I was closing 25-40 units/year without an assistant. When the market shifted in 2008 I opened my own Brokerage, The Mercure Group, Inc run out of my home in Douglas and then Sutton. The paperwork was a bear so after 7 years I merged my company into Keller Williams and eventually Custom Home Realty where I am currently affiliated. Personally, I grew up in Worcester until Middle School when my family moved to Sutton. I graduated from Sutton High School and always loved the town. I got married in college and started a family, moving to western Massachusetts until 1980 when family members purchased a restaurant in Grafton and we moved to Douglas. It was when the restaurant was sold that I went back to finish college in 1985 and then started my Real Estate career. I was reacquainted with a man I had known in school and after 8 years of dating we happily married in 2022. Michael is a great partner and is now step father to my 2 children, grandfather to my 4 grandchildren and great-grandfather to my 5 great-grandchildren. I was lucky enough to add his daughter to the family also. We all get together whenever possible at my little Sutton bungalow in the center of town. I love music and go to concerts whenever possible. I love to oil paint and will do so on my little front porch. I love to travel and will plan one or two trips each year... some with family and some on our own. Foxwoods calls to me regularly so Mike and I will head to Connecticut now and then. Most of all I have loved my job over the years, helping clients figure out their real estate path and giving them the best professional advice I can, learned from decades with boots on the ground.
