đŸŒ” September Homeowner Spotlight: Smart Water Protection for Homes Left Unattended.

One of the most stressful things a homeowner can experience while away is wondering
“What if something happens and no one knows?”
A small leak can quickly become a major problem when a home is vacant or seasonal.

This month’s Homeowner Spotlight features smart water technology that can provide an additional layer of protection:
💧 YoLink Smart Water Valve Controller
📡 YoLink Hub
🚹 YoLink Leak Sensors
When used together, this system can help:
✅ Detect leaks early
✅ Send alerts directly to your phone
✅ Automatically shut off your water
✅ Monitor high-risk areas throughout your home
Recommended sensor locations include:
đŸšœ Toilets
🚰 Sinks
đŸ§ș Laundry Room
đŸ”„ Water Heater
đŸœïž Dishwasher

For the best protection, all three components are recommended — the valve controller, hub, and leak sensors work together to provide monitoring, alerts, and automatic shut-off capabilities.

Smart technology + Professional Home Watch = another layer of protection for your desert home. đŸŒ”đŸ

Have a product, service, or home protection solution you think should be featured in a future Homeowner Spotlight? Send it my way! I’d love to highlight products that help homeowners protect and care for their homes.

Sometimes Home Watch means more than just checking on the house. 🏡

Today I met with **Gennaro Izzo, owner of Aquaguard Plumbing and one of Desert Estate Watch’s Preferred Service Partners**, at a client’s home while they’re away.

Part of what I do is help coordinate trusted vendors and be there on behalf of my clients when they can’t be.

Having relationships with local business owners like Gennaro means my clients aren’t left searching for someone from hundreds of miles away when something needs attention at their Arizona home.

One less thing for them to worry about — and exactly why having someone local you trust matters.

My AC decided to quit late last night
because apparently August in Arizona seemed like the perfect time. 😂
Thankfully, I already knew exactly who to call! BCool Air Conditioning & Heating is part of the Desert Estate Watch Preferred Service Partner Network, and Austin came out today and took great care of us.
This is exactly why I started building the DEW Preferred Service Partner Network — relationships with local professionals I can feel confident turning to when my homeowners need help.
Thank you, Austin and BCool! You rock!
I’m excited about this partnership and what the future holds for both of our businesses. đŸŒ”
Great local businesses supporting each other and taking care of our customers — that's what it's all about.

A loss to your home can make you forget a lot of things — even when you thought you had a plan.

Sometimes the simplest reminders are the most important. Knowing where your water shutoff is, who to call, and what to do first can make a huge difference when something goes wrong.

Save this one for later — hopefully you’ll never need it. 🏡

I finally was able to order from L&K homestead kitchen . Let me tell you the customer service from start to finish was amazing! They were friendly, nice, and communicated with me when they were running late. I got three items:

Carne asada cheese dip
Creeper salsa
Jalapeno dip

My fiance is sooooo picky he doesn’t eat anything he isn’t familiar with
..he loved the salsa!! The salsa is so fresh! You can taste every ingredient, full of flavor!

I enjoyed the cheese dip it was just what I needed for a little snack! I am going to try the chorizo next time.

The jalapeno dip was also really good I put it on my fajitas that we made last night!

If you’re looking for something homemade from a small business please give them a shot!!!

A little Fountain Hills fun fact! â›ČïžđŸŒ”
Every St. Patrick’s Day they turn the famous fountain GREEN! ☘ The tradition started with a bar bet in 1979 involving water-skiers 😂 and it takes about 55 gallons of coloring!
And bonus points if you know what ’90s sitcom used this song in its opening! 👀

It was staked down. The storm didn’t care. 😳

Last night’s winds lifted my neighbor’s gazebo over her block wall and into the street. A neighbor secured it to a light pole until she could retrieve it this morning.

Thankfully, she is okay! I checked on her this morning and made sure she didn’t need any help.

And it wasn’t just the gazebo — pieces of the roof traveled far enough to land in our yard.
High winds can send debris much farther than you might expect. Patio furniture, umbrellas, decorations, branches and pieces from neighboring properties can all end up somewhere completely different.

It’s an important reminder that after a major Arizona storm, checking a property means looking for more than just obvious damage.

Debris can travel — and damage can come from well beyond your own yard.

East Valley friends — please be careful tonight!
Strong winds, blowing dust and thunderstorms are moving through the Valley, with visibility dropping quickly in some areas.
If you're on the road and encounter heavy dust, pull aside and stay alive.

Stay safe out there!đŸŒ”â›ˆïž
