You may have noticed a new name and logo the last few days… FYR Production… but what exactly is FYR Production? So let’s talk about it!

FYR Production is actually the former Harlequin International. Last spring I decided to put the company on pause for a variety of reasons, but I never officially closed the doors completely. Deep down, I knew there was still something there waiting for the right time and the right direction.

Now it has been completely revamped into an event company focused on supporting small businesses, entrepreneurs, creatives, dreamers, and people with big ideas.

Yesterday we officially announced the East Texas Entrepreneur Social launching in June, and honestly, this is only the beginning. My brain is already overflowing with more ideas, events, collaborations, and ways to bring people together right here in East Texas. Some of those future events and ideas will also connect closely with Wichmann & Co Publishing House!

But what does FYR actually mean?

FYR stands for “Find Your Reason.”

At the same time, “Fyr” is also the Swedish word for lighthouse, which is why the lighthouse became part of the logo. A lighthouse guides people through darkness, uncertainty, storms, and rough waters. That meaning felt incredibly fitting for this next chapter.

My hope is that FYR Production can become a beacon of light for entrepreneurs, side hustlers, small business owners, creators, and anyone chasing a dream but needing connection, encouragement, or inspiration along the way.

Sometimes all it takes is one conversation, one event, or one opportunity to completely change someone’s future.

Alright East Texas… we’re doing this! 💙

As many of you know, I do a LOT of networking and community events. But honestly, with today’s gas prices and crazy schedules, driving 45 minutes to an hour multiple times a week just to connect with other entrepreneurs gets expensive and exhausting fast.

So instead of constantly driving to networking events… I decided to bring the networking to us.

That’s why I created East Texas Entrepreneur Social, a relaxed and welcoming gathering for entrepreneurs, creators, side hustlers, dreamers, doers, and small business owners right here in East Texas.

No stiff corporate vibes. No pressure. Just real people, real conversations, community, encouragement, and connections.

Today I am taking 24 hours completely off social media and technology. No texts, emails, messages or notifications. Just quiet.

Mother’s Day is beautiful for so many people, and I truly love seeing moms celebrated. But for me, this day is also incredibly hard. I miss my mom and my grandma more than words can explain.

This next week also marks 6 years since my mom passed away, which honestly makes everything feel even heavier right now.

So today will probably look like sitting curled up in my bed, crying, remembering, missing them, and trying to let myself feel it instead of pretending I’m okay.

Grief is such a strange thing. Some days you carry it well. Other days it completely knocks the air out of you.

If you still have your mom and/or grandmother here, hug them a little tighter for me today.

I’ll be back tomorrow. 🤍

I’m so excited for this event and honestly… this one just feels extra special.

On June 13th from 11AM-1PM, I’ll be at Magnolia Bleue in Wills Point signing copies of The Ticket alongside Joel Espinoza Ministries, who will be signing his incredible books The Art Of Becoming and El Arte De Convertirse.

There is something I absolutely love about small town events like this. Good people, local business, coffee, conversations, books, and stories all coming together in one place. That is exactly the kind of community I dreamed about being part of when I started writing.

If you already have a copy of The Ticket, bring it with you! If not, signed copies will be available at the event. Come say hello, hang out for a bit, and support local authors and local businesses at the same time.
