Happy Mother’s Day to the women who came before us, and to the women carrying that legacy forward today.

To the mothers and grandmothers who held their families together through hardship, sacrifice, and seasons no one else fully understood.

To the women who embodied quiet courage, fierce love, and unwavering resilience.

Some have passed on to the halls of Valhalla, but their strength did not leave with them. It lives on in the daughters and granddaughters they raised…. women who know that kindness is not weakness, self-respect is non-negotiable, and true strength is forged through adversity.

There are two kinds of mothers.

Those who raise strong, independent women.

And those who raise dependence and parasitic children.

Today, we honor the mothers who choose to build resilience over fragility, confidence over insecurity, and freedom over control.

The women who teach their daughters to think for themselves, stand on their own feet, and never shrink to make others comfortable.

They do not raise women who need to be rescued.

They raise women who know exactly who they are.

To the Valkyries of every generation…. past, present, and future

The women who held the line.
The women who broke the cycle.
The women who raised a legacy.

This is excellent news.

It will likely only apply to homestead properties and as stated it will not eliminate them completely as we still need to account for the educational budget.

For many it still provides THOUSANDS of dollars as relief by overburdened tax bills.

We’re hopeful they’ll have an bill presented and voting on before the November elections.

They say a daughters first love is her Daddy (this is true for me) BUT a daughters first role model and hero …. The person whose indomitable work ethic and strength is the subject of legends for me …. Is and always will be my Mommy.

You never accepted victimhood mentality of “damsels in distress”, I can’t I’m just a girl, I don’t know how… I’m not strong enough…. Or the mentality that whining or crying achieved anything.

You instilled in us a “can do” attitude.
A work harder than anyone else in the room.
Make yourself indispensable mentality.
Don’t know? LEARN and “figure it the f**k out”

There was absolutely nothing you didn’t think your girls could do.
There’s always a solution and sitting there in angst was never going to solve it.
You taught us to think creatively.
Leading wasn’t gender specific.
And education had to be at the forefront of our lives.

You didn’t care if we grew up to be “professional s**t shovelers” (yes my friends a direct quote lol) BUT we had to be the BEST s**t shovelers. Because mediocrity was for luke warm settlers and your daughters weren’t settlers.

It wasn’t empty ideology.
You taught by example.

You taught us empty platitudes of love without action was just a finicky emotion.
But ACTION, RESPECT and LOYALTY would make love a powerful force.

It wasn’t ever easy …. Then again you didn’t prepare gardeners for war. You prepared us to be powerful in a cruel world. We raised survivors.
50% of people don’t care we’re hurting the other 50% are glad of it - sentiments are deeply personal and beware who you show vulnerability to.

I want you to know that as I type these words I acknowledge it may have seemed as children we’d never get it lol BUT as I look back I’ve survived and pushed through because your words landed.

You are and always have been the wind beneath my wings.
You are my rock and you are my Hero.

Everything I am is because of you.
The loudest cheer at any accomplishment and the quiet stern “suck it the f**k up” at my lowest periods.

In this life and any other …. The honor of your motherhood is mine.
I adore you Mommy.
