Asset management is the most underpriced service in property management.

It used to be a nice value-add that PMs would use to help retain high-value clients. Those owners were getting free access to PM expertise.

But the economic crunch has shown owners the value of having a real estate professional as a long term partner, and it’s become a premium service you can package up and sell to your entire management portfolio.

In fact, the 2026 PM Trends Report found that 51% of respondents are willing to pay their PM EXTRA for asset management services.

The kicker is that the revenue from an asset management service offering is small compared to the business it can drive to a brokerage.
