There is a new guy running for the Board. Already he is giving false information: Although I have only lived here a short time, I believe I have already contributed positively to the community. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a leaning light pole near my parking space and reported it to CPE. This led the board to contact UI, resulting in a project to replace all outdated light poles throughout the property. WRONG. FALSE!
Here is the truth: Please be kind enough to read all of this. On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Longmeadow Condominiums held its first-ever “Town Hall Meeting. One woman reported that a Street Light on Jackson Drive was out for over six weeks; she reported it to CPE, and nothing was done. We told her that anyone is allowed to report it to United Illuminating. CPE said they would report it. Fast forward. On Friday, June 9, 2025, I was taking a walk. I had stents put in my heart, so I was not walking for months before that. The same streetlight was still out. I took it upon myself to report it to UI and filled out the form to do so. My contact at UI confirmed that he received it and had a crew come out a few days later. They told him it was beyond repair and took the entire light pole and light fixture down, and ordered a new one. It takes time to get them. Well, today I was taking a walk, and UI had installed the new mount for the new light pole and light fixture; it will be installed soon. This condominium has a contract with UI to have work done to these fixtures at no cost; take advantage of it. Why does it always take a resident to get things done, and when a resident does something, then CPE and the Longmeadow Board get upset? Do your work and stop complaining.
