Condominiums Need New Laws

Condominiums Need New Laws For decades Condominium Complexes have been run badly. That must be changed on a National Level.

Isn’t it amazing that when Greenwich Way had potholes, the woman who lives there and is still on the Board had the entire street stripped to the dirt, with new catch basins installed, along with new sidewalks and curbs. However, there is one pothole on Penn Common and two on Salem Walk, and they are still not being cleared and patched. Probably because the Board President doesn’t live on either of those streets.

Why can't CPE Property Management and the Board President address this blocked streetlight? It is on Greenwich Way. 🤔

Flashback 2025 ~ Regarding having a security system installed in Longmeadow condominiums, Amanda and others claimed that the people here do not want it. Please tell me why over forty-five units have installed the Ring Doorbell or another brand. Also, please tell me why so many people throughout the complex have mounted various types of security systems outside of their units. In my case, both of my Ring Floodlight Cameras, Pro are mounted where the original light fixtures were, not all over creation.

Here is more proof that this new guy running for the Board is lying. He said: Although I have only lived here a short time, I believe I have already contributed positively to the community. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a leaning light pole near my parking space and reported it to CPE. This led the board to contact UI, resulting in a project to replace all outdated light poles throughout the property. LOL: None of them is new. They do not have the new style mount. Why would the light fixtures blocked by branches not be cleared if new ones replaced them? If he lies like this now, God help us if he gets elected. This shows you the present Board members or CPE didn’t check him out.

There is a new guy running for the Board. Already he is giving false information: Although I have only lived here a short time, I believe I have already contributed positively to the community. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a leaning light pole near my parking space and reported it to CPE. This led the board to contact UI, resulting in a project to replace all outdated light poles throughout the property. WRONG. FALSE!

Here is the truth: Please be kind enough to read all of this. On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Longmeadow Condominiums held its first-ever “Town Hall Meeting. One woman reported that a Street Light on Jackson Drive was out for over six weeks; she reported it to CPE, and nothing was done. We told her that anyone is allowed to report it to United Illuminating. CPE said they would report it. Fast forward. On Friday, June 9, 2025, I was taking a walk. I had stents put in my heart, so I was not walking for months before that. The same streetlight was still out. I took it upon myself to report it to UI and filled out the form to do so. My contact at UI confirmed that he received it and had a crew come out a few days later. They told him it was beyond repair and took the entire light pole and light fixture down, and ordered a new one. It takes time to get them. Well, today I was taking a walk, and UI had installed the new mount for the new light pole and light fixture; it will be installed soon. This condominium has a contract with UI to have work done to these fixtures at no cost; take advantage of it. Why does it always take a resident to get things done, and when a resident does something, then CPE and the Longmeadow Board get upset? Do your work and stop complaining.
