6 things you didn’t know about Kelly 👋

Real estate may be what she does, but here’s a little about who she is…

👑 Her family has a royal connection. Her grandfather, Angus Smith, hosted Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and Princess Alexandra while he was mayor of her hometown, Townsville, Queensland, Australia.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 She and her husband went from 0 to 3 kids in just 18 months. You do the math! 😂

🎶 Live music is her favorite art form. And having NYC right next door means access to incredible live music, one of her favorite things about living here.

💪 She was a personal trainer in her mid 20s. These days, she trains for longevity with jump training, track and hill sprints, Norwegian 4x4s, heavy resistance training, trail running, and snowboarding.

🌎 She’s lived in quite a few places around the world. Sydney, Dublin, London, and New York have all been home at one point or another.

🧠 She graduated with first class honors in Psychology in 1996. But instead of attending graduation, she headed overseas to travel.

August Market Update 🏡

The latest numbers are in, and Northern New Jersey continues to show just how local real estate really is.

Maplewood homes averaged 118% of asking price, while Montclair reached an impressive 127%. Short Hills also had a strong month, with sales up 11% year to date and contracts up 13% compared with 2025.

South Orange continues to see momentum, with contracts up 25% year to date, while West Orange contracts increased 6%.

Other markets are moving differently. Summit, Morristown, Verona, and Berkeley Heights all saw year-to-date sales decline, even as homes in several of these towns continued to sell above asking price.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling, the numbers that matter most are the ones in your neighborhood and price range.
