Before and after. What are your thoughts?

Okay here’s my latest project. I bought this China hutch about 2 to 3 years Asian. At first I thought I wanted to stay in the doors. Then I see my table that I got from my dad and the chairs was like an eggplant color so I started to paint it purple. It sat for about a year and a half, and then after I had refinished my bathroom with wallpaper, I sit on edge of my bed and I start thinking 🤔  maybe I just listen to my bedroom since my bedroom is black, white and gold and just paint this china hutch black with gold accent as this would give me more storage space for my linens. So here goes the process.  However, on the left side when I put the gold tape on the back, it’s a bit crooked and my dad’s telling me “fix it Charleanne!” What are your thoughts?!!
