Mario thought that he could “never buy a house”. That’s what he kept telling me for more than a year! I kept telling him to go and talk to a loan officer and find out for sure. I referred him to Damon Mason who immediately preapproved him. We looked at some houses and within one month we found his house and his offer was accepted! Here he is in front of his new house!! I am so excited for him! He thought it would never happen but he became a home owner!

Congratulations to this lovely lady who just closed on her FOREVER home!!!

After dealing with homelessness, staying with friends, sleeping in the car, then getting into a couple tiny apartments with 2 small children ages 2 and 9 she is now a homeowner!! Now she and her family have enough space so that everyone gets their own room!!

HOME OWNERSHIP IS WITHIN REACH!
Everyone deserves and needs stable housing no matter the situation!

SPARK exists to promote home ownership in the twin cities!
Stability Power Assets Revenue Knowledge!

Home ownership increases stability in our communities which is instrumental in the lives of children! Children do much better in school and in life when they have a stable place to live. When they can have a bedroom that they can call their own, when have a neighborhood that they are used to, etc.

This is a great article about how instability affects a child's development. It is 45 pages full of great information! A great read and strongly backs the reason why home ownership is so important in the lives of children! Many children in our under-served communities suffer from not having this stability! Let's see if we can change this!
