🔥 Catfish + Wings : A Taste of Soul 🔥

Socials are hard, but eating is easy!

I've said this before, and I will keep hammering it in, Minot is blessed to have the cuisine that we do. There's a very likely world where a city of this size ends up a veritable desert.

A Taste of Soul is a top-tier spot for me now. I absolutely loved the fried catfish. Hit every note I wanted. The lemon pepper wings are delicious. Sides are great too. Only beef I had was getting too much meat in my greens the second time. Guess I like my greens a bit more green. C'est la vie.

Go hit em up out on 4th Ave, past DQ.

🔥 Potato Gorgonzola Pizza : Eduardo's Enoteca 🔥

Found the most adorable spot on a recent trip to Chicago!

Tiny little spot on a side street in the Gold Coast area. Nine tables tops, four bar seats, and a little area out on the sidewalk under some trees. I should have taken a few more pics of the interior, but you'll have to trust me that it's cozy and warm. Perfect spot for a date.

ZERO complaints about the food. Had the aforementioned Potato Gorgonzola pie. Also included radicchio and a serious amount of rosemary. Loved every bite!

I think this place is a must hit for anyone that'll be in the area. They're pretty big on reservations, but we were able to get in without one, so I imagine you just have to call ahead a couple hours to get seated when you show up.

🔥Brisket Mac & Fries : Backdraft BBQ 🔥

I'm not perfect. I am especially not perfect when it comes to eating.

Following the recommendation of a fellow imperfect eater, my first swing at Backdraft's menu was the cleverly named Brisket Mac & Fries. Undoubtedly the most nap-inducing meal I've stuffed in my face all year.

Lovely seasoning on the fries, creamy mac, smoky(duh) brisket.

It was everything I could do to not keep eating, and in the end, I lost.

Do you have trouble sleeping? Go catch them on east Burdick by the Fairgrounds and smash one of these down.

🔥FEAST: Events Essentials by Yve 🔥

Beyond stoked that food truck season is in motion again! Put your eyes on this absolute UNIT of a plate from El Encuentro Dominicano!

Yaroa, plantain cups, empanadas (not pictured, I have zero self-control), and an order of wings. The wings came with a side of garlic-y sauce with a name that I forgot. Delightful.

Can find 'em at their new location by the Pour Farm, south Broadway.

If you were ever young and prone to nocturnal activities in the fine city of Grand Forks, then you know how much of a staple The Red Pepper is.

For me, these days, it's more of a nostalgia thing, but it still puts a smile on my face to hit Red Pepper with the boys.
