Stopping infiltration of cold air through damaged exterior doors and windows in older homes very common. Ruberised weatherstiping around doors and the adjustable thresholds below doors decay. Wind pressure can make it the most serious of problems that prevent your heater from ever reaching a comfortable temperature. Run your hand along door and window seams. You will feel the extent of the problem. Replacing weatherstriping is fast and easy. Wedge it in. Thresholds often require a carpenter to cut and place. Hardware stores sell a temporary quick fix that is applied when the door closes. For now, widow infiltration can be fixed with removable caulking. Just don't overdo it. Be safe and comfortable!

Some homes I like around the quaint village of Tequisquiapan Queretaro, about 45 minutes south of San Miguel de Allende. Although its been around for over 600 years, a variety of old and new styles prevail that I like a lot.
