Mobile After Rain

Professional hockey returns to Mobile after a 22-year absence. The city was previously home to the Mobile Mysticks of the ECHL, competing from 1995 through 2002. The team, part of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) expansion team, is scheduled to begin play in October 2027 at the new Regions Arena, competing in 29 season games. The team will provide an economic boost to the city with the name being revealed in June.
