What Rising Inflation Means for Your Move

Wondering what this means for your specific situation? Reach out today. Let's cut through the noise together and make a plan that actually works for you.

The Mid-Year Housing Market Update: Why Forecasts Changed in 2026

The housing market hasn’t rebounded as quickly as experts originally hoped. But that doesn’t mean it’s stalled.

Higher inflation and lingering economic uncertainty caused economists to revise their forecasts for this year. But importantly, when those two things settle down, many experts believe the market will regain its momentum.

So don’t see this revision in forecasts as a sign of trouble. See it as a temporary reaction to overall conditions and uncertainty.

If you want to know what’s happening in our local market, and what it could mean for your plans for the rest of this year, let’s connect.

Historic character, modern comfort, and a location that keeps you close to all you love about Molalla.

Built in 1927 by architect Raymond Hatch, the John Frank & Bertha Fray Dicken House at 102 E 5th St is a storybook Tudor/English Cottage—from its half‑timbered gables and arched windows to its lush garden and rolled “thatch” roofline.
For over 60 years, this was home to Frank and Bertha Dicken, pillars of downtown Molalla and owners of the “Store of Quality and Service” that helped our community through the Great Depression and a devastating 1944 fire. Now, this beautifully preserved home is ready for its next chapter.

Life can’t always wait for perfect market conditions. Maybe you don’t have to either.

Looking for a home with real character and history?

The John Frank & Bertha Fray Dicken House at 102 E 5th St in Molalla is a beautifully preserved 1927 Tudor/English Cottage–style home, designed by Raymond Hatch (who also designed the 1926 Molalla High School). From decorative half‑timbering and arched window openings to its English‑inspired garden, this home feels like a storybook cottage right in town.

For more than 60 years, it was home to Frank and Bertha Dicken—descendants of Molalla’s pioneer families and longtime owners of Dicken & Co., the “Store of Quality and Service” that helped Molalla weather the Great Depression and rebuild after the 1944 fire. Today, this historic home has been lovingly cared for and is ready to welcome its next owners.
