📊 Monroe Housing Snapshot | September 2026

Each month, we break down a few key housing market indicators to make it easier to follow what's happening across Monroe County and the City of Monroe.

What stands out this month?

• Homes that sold continued to move quickly, with a median of 20 days on market countywide and 21 days in the City of Monroe.

• Sale prices remained very close to asking prices, with homes selling at 99.70% of list price countywide and 99.23% in the City of Monroe.

• One unusual number this month: the City's 127.78% sold rate means more homes closed during September than were newly listed during the same period. It does not mean 127% of available homes sold—some September closings came from listings that entered the market earlier.

📊 Monroe Housing Snapshot | August 2026

Each month, we break down a few key housing market indicators to make it easier to follow what's happening across Monroe County and the City of Monroe.

What stands out this month?
• Homes that sold countywide moved quickly, spending a median of just 14 days on the market.

• Countywide, homes sold for essentially their full asking price, with a 99.99% sale-to-list price ratio. In the City of Monroe, the ratio was 98.17%.

• Nearly 8 out of every 10 listings sold countywide during the reporting period, compared with just over 7 out of 10 in the City of Monroe.

• The average home sold for at or slightly above its asking price, based on the sale-to-list price ratio.
• More than 7 out of every 10 listings sold in Monroe County during the reporting period, while the City of Monroe saw more than 8 out of every 10 listings sell.
