The Psychology Behind Buyer Love at First Sight😍
👇👇👇

Buyers decide how they feel about a home within seconds.

Before they look at the kitchen.

Before they check the square footage.

Before they ask about the roof.

They’re already imagining their life there.

That’s why staging isn’t decorating.

It’s creating a vision buyers can see themselves living in.

This bathroom started as empty space.

Now it’s telling a story.

And stories sell homes.

Thinking about listing soon? Save this post for later.

People think staging is just furniture placement.

It’s not.

A lot of what I do has nothing to do with “decorating” and everything to do with paying attention to how a space feels when someone walks in.

The rug placement.
The distance between chairs.
The way the coffee table anchors the room.
The flow from one space to the next.

Sometimes I’ll adjust one piece five different times until the room feels right.

Not because it has to be perfect
but because buyers feel those details even if they can’t explain why.

That’s the part people don’t always see.

Staging isn’t just filling a room.
It’s helping people emotionally connect to a home the second they walk in.

And honestly, that’s my favorite part of the process.

If you’re a realtor or homeowner who values thoughtful presentation and intentional details, we’d probably work really well together.

Most people think buying down inserts is enough.

It’s not.

If you take them straight out of the package and stuff them into the cover, they’ll still look flat, wrinkled, and underwhelming.

Here’s the trick:
1: Fluff the insert by hand first
2: Put it in the dryer on high heat for 10 minutes
3: Watch it completely transform

These are the tiny details that make a home feel elevated, polished, and professionally staged.

I only use down feather inserts because it holds especially when you do the “karate chop” test on it.
You can buy them on Amazon, some I bought at the actual stores with the down inserts.

You want to know why some beds look luxury hotel-level
 and others just look flat?

Details.

Most people throw pillows on a bed and call it done.
But in staging, every single angle matters.

Look at the pillows.
They should stand straight, structured, intentional.
Not collapsing sideways like they gave up on life.

And the secret?
Feather down inserts.

I use them because they hold shape better, photograph beautifully, and instantly make a room feel elevated and expensive.

That’s the difference between decorating

and creating perceived value.

Buyers may not walk in saying,
“Wow, amazing pillow inserts.”
But they WILL feel the difference.

Luxury is a feeling.
And details create that feeling.

That’s exactly what I think about when I stage a home.

Most people see the finished stage.
What they don’t see is the constant investment behind it.

The best stagers never stop learning. Not because they “have to” but because the market evolves, buyer psychology also evolves and the level of expectation keeps rising.

That’s why I am attending my 3rd RESACON. (RESA Convention) and I also invest in my staging community by being a part of our local board chapter (RESA NorCal Chapter) serving as the current Chapter President.

To sharpen my strategy. To study what’s working in the highest level, to bring back stronger ideas, smarter systems, elevated design perspectives and better results for my clients and realtor partners.

Every detail matters when you’re trying to create emotional connection, stronger buyer perception and listings that stand out in a crowded market.

Education is an investment. And my clients deserve a stager who continues to evolve with the industry.

If you’re a realtor who values thoughtful marketing, elevated presentation and strategic design that helps listings compete at a higher level, let’s connect.

đŸŽ”â€Hey, I just met you
and this is crazy!! The link is in my bio , so vote for me maybe?” đŸŽ”đŸŽ”

Thank you my friends! I appreciate the love and support. This journey is not an easy one, because I constantly have to step out of my comfort zone everyday! I was a stay at home mom for 18 years (and it was the best decision ever) it was a priviledge and a blessing to be able to do that.

And then homestaging happened. We were selling our townhome to move into a single home and our realtor said the home needed to be staged but I ended up staging it. It sold over $100k and so that was my lightbulb moment! I took it as a sign got serious and ran with it. I took an accredited course through , and I assisted a homestager at the same time to get a feel of what its like to stage not one, but several homes. I just wanted to learn more and more, to get more confident, and to explore my creativity.

I had oppoturtunities to help other stagers, so I did. I also became a member of and became a founding member of to be involved with the staging community and to honestly, connect with other stagers and meet friends (which I certainly have) and I am grateful for that.

I have attended RESACON (Las Vegas) the past four years to continue learning and connecting with wonderful stagers and its been a blast! Now am I where I need to be in my business now? Nope. I am technically just getting started because I always have to make room each year to grow.

God’s timing is perfect. He knows when I am ready, and when the doors of opportunities open, you bet that I will walk through that door with the biggest smile! So here I am. đŸ„°
