Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a day that changed us forever.
Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger to help others. And we remember the families who have carried the weight of that day for the last 25 years.
For those of us old enough to remember, there are moments from that day that will never leave us. But neither should the courage, sacrifice, compassion, and unity that followed.
May we continue to tell their stories, honor their sacrifice, and remember what it meant to stand together as Americans.
We will never forget.
