You can spend the morning hiking, the afternoon on the water, and still make it home in time for dinner.
2️⃣ The communities are unmatched.
From the charm of downtown Mount Vernon, to the historic streets of Sedro-Woolley, to the waterfront beauty of Anacortes, each town has its own personality, local businesses, and incredible food spots.
3️⃣ The traffic isn’t bad.
Maybe I’m spoiled, but I don’t really start hitting traffic until I get closer to Marysville. That’s a huge quality-of-life upgrade compared to many areas in Western Washington.
4️⃣ You still have everything you need.
Even though Skagit feels a little more laid-back, you’re still minutes from Costco, Walmart, shopping centers, restaurants, hospitals, and everyday conveniences.
5️⃣ The home prices are hard to beat.
For first-time buyers especially, Skagit County offers some of the best value I’ve seen. You can often get more house, more yard, and a better lifestyle for your money than in many surrounding markets.
