Sons Ellliott and Keith joined the family business, with Beatrice L. Johnson (Arthur's wife and mother to Elliott and Keith) assisting. Anacortes kicks off the holiday weekend tonight, Sept. 4, with its monthly First Friday Art Walk and live music.

The community event begins downtown from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., showcasing local art and culture. Following the art walk, Rockfish Grill & Anacortes Brewery will host a free live music performance starting at 7:30 p.m.

Organizers expect large crowds and recommend arriving early for seating. Admission to the music event is free, and local dining options will be available throughout the evening.
