Planning an event at your home, but not sure where to start? Weā€™ve all been there! There are a few things you need to think about first before sending out the invites!

āœØ Determine the type of event. That sounds obvious but figuring out the theme you want to stick with, the primary activity, and the overall vibe will set the tone for the entire event. Do you want a casual hangout with close friends or a large party with outside catering and entertainment?

āœØ Pick the date and time. If you let people know you're throwing something but the date/time is TBD, you're asking for trouble (a lot of questions and suggestions that can create confusion).

āœØ Set a budget!! Itā€™s very easy to get carried away, so this keeps you organized and stress-free. You know you have parameters you need to stick with so you don't go overboard.
