If you’re thinking about selling your home this spring, here’s a little tip from someone who’s lived through several buy/sell seasons herself:

A “March 1 listing” really starts… right about now.
(Or earlier — but December is a great place to begin.)

*Don't worry, I'm not going to add anything to your already overflowing list of events the last two weeks of this month!

There are three stages most homeowners underestimate:

1️⃣ Personal Planning
Talking with your family, getting on the same page, checking finances, deciding where you’re headed next. (This is what you can start now without adding additional stress to your holiday.)

2️⃣ Prep Time
Repairs, touch-ups, decluttering, cleaning, fresh photos, and making sure your home shines its brightest. (This part almost always takes longer than expected.)

3️⃣ Ex*****on
Making sure youre confident in your an agent, reviewing paperwork, staging, photography, and getting everything ready to hit the market confidently.

The truth is:
Selling a home is a process — and the earlier you start planning, the better the end result.

So if your goal is to list in early spring, December is the perfect time to put a plan in motion.

When my kids were little and our budget was extremely tight, Black Friday sales were how I made Christmas feel special.

Those early mornings, packed parking lots, and endless checkout lines were worth it to see their smiles on Christmas morning. 🎄

These days, I’m a little more likely to enjoy the comfort of leftovers and a warm blanket while shopping online — but there’s still something nostalgic about it all.

Gratitude comes easy in the big moments.

Job promotions.

Career milestones and big wins.

Prayers that got a “yes.”

Once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

And really, that’s alright. It’s okay to give big things the big celebrations our big feelings grant them.

But I’ve also noticed that sometimes it’s the seemingly small moments of everyday joy at home that overwhelm me with gratitude —
watching my kiddo play (the same kiddo we prayed fervently for for years),
walking into my home after a stressful day and instantly feeling at peace, or sinking into the cozy warmth of my bed on a cold night.

Gratitude doesn’t always shout — sometimes it whispers,
“this is really freakin’ good.”

Is there anything in particular that’s a “gratitude whisper” for you — one that maybe not everyone else would understand?

How do you feel about the colder weather?

Do you love it? Or did you think you’d love it — right up until you find your nose froze and you’re longing for those hot summer days again?

Or maybe you’re like me and just wish it could be the perfect temperature all the time — where we can wear all the cute clothes, sip all the cute coffee drinks, and walk through the orange and yellow leaf-filled trees without it ever being too hot or too cold. 🍁 😂 (is perfection really too tall an order?)

Since that’s not possible here’s to finding joy — and a little gratitude — in every season we’re given.

Let’s celebrate our Middle Tennessee favorites!

I recently discovered the most precious little coffee shop in Manchester. I curled up in one of their cozy chairs, sipped tea, and made a new friend. 😍 10/10 recommend.

Now I'm curious - what’s your go-to spot?

That place you always suggest for catching up with a friend, having a casual meeting, or just enjoying the atmosphere.
