Three things I’ve learned about myself… (from doing my hair and it still being a mess anyway)
1. I can put in the effort… and it still won’t look “perfect.”
And that used to frustrate me more than I’d like to admit.
But not everything is meant to stay polished all day—and that’s okay.
2. I take pride in taking care of myself.
Doing my hair, getting ready, showing up as my best… that matters to me.
But I’ve learned there’s a difference between caring for yourself
and constantly trying to control every little detail.
3. I used to spend way too much energy fixing things no one else even noticed.
Touching it, adjusting it, thinking about it…
when that energy could’ve gone into literally anything more meaningful.

Now I still do my hair…
and then I let it do whatever it’s going to do 😅

Because I’d rather be present, connected, and actually living my life
than constantly trying to hold everything in place.

Sometimes taking care of yourself
also means knowing when to let the little things go. 🫶

1. “Luck” usually comes from showing up.
The more you create, share, and put yourself out there… the more opportunities seem to “find” you.
2. The right people can’t find you if you’re not visible.
What feels like luck to others is often just someone being consistent behind the scenes.
3. The more you document, the “luckier” you get.
Because people start to understand how you think… and that’s what builds trust.

There’s nothing lucky about building something you care about…
but when you stay consistent long enough, it definitely starts to feel like it. 🍀✨

I’ve noticed something over the years…

Some of the smartest, most capable people I’ve ever worked with…

struggle the most when it comes to talking about what they do.

Not because they don’t know enough.
Not because they’re not good at what they do.

But because no one ever showed them how to communicate it in a way that actually lands.

And I get it…

When I first started in real estate, someone told me to just start sharing what I was learning.

So I did.

I talked about what I was experiencing.
What surprised me.
What I was figuring out along the way.

And something unexpected happened…

People started reaching out to work with me—without ever meeting me.

By my third month, I had nearly $1M under contract.

Not because I was the most experienced…

but because people felt like they already knew me.

That’s when I realized:

People don’t connect to perfectly crafted information.
They connect to real experiences.

That’s exactly why I created the Story Bank Framework.

Because your best content isn’t something you have to “come up with”…

It’s something you’ve already lived.

If you’re part of an organization that wants to help your people communicate more clearly, build trust faster, and actually use their experience…

Sometimes a random thought will hit me about business and marketing.

After years in sales and working with business owners, I’ve realized a few patterns that show up over and over again.

1. If someone can’t quickly understand what you do, they won’t ask.
Confusion doesn’t create curiosity… it usually just creates scrolling.

2. Before people trust a business, they usually connect with the person behind it.
The moment someone feels like they understand who you are, everything else becomes easier.

3. Clarity beats “perfect” every single time.
The businesses that grow aren’t always the most polished… they’re the ones people understand immediately.

Showing homes has taught me a lot… but one thing I’ve become especially aware of as a realtor with autism is how much the feeling of a place matters.

Some communities just feel different the moment you turn in.

Here are three things I’ve learned about how a neighborhood affects everyday life:

1. The feeling starts before you ever walk through the door.
Sometimes you can feel it the second you pull into a neighborhood. The trees, the quiet, the way the streets flow. Your body relaxes a little before you even park the car.

2. Environment changes your nervous system.
As someone who is very sensitive to my surroundings, I notice how certain places make transitions easier. Coming home after a long day feels lighter when the environment itself feels calm and welcoming.

3. Where you live affects the rhythm of your day.
Home isn’t just the house. It’s the experience of arriving there. When pulling into your neighborhood feels good, it changes how you start and end your day.

Sometimes the right home isn’t just about square footage or finishes.

Sometimes it’s about the moment when you turn the corner and think…
“Yeah… this feels right.”

Over the last couple years I’ve been learning more about how my brain actually works, and understanding my autism has changed the way I see a lot of my relationships.

Not the love.
Not the care.

But the way connection shows up in my life.

Here are five things I’ve learned about relationships through my healing journey as an autistic person.

1. Love and frequency are not the same thing.
I don’t always stay in constant contact with people I love. My brain doesn’t naturally think to reach out the way some people’s do. But the depth of how much I care about someone has never been measured by how often we talk.

2. My brain needs more recovery time than I used to allow.
When life is busy, what most people call “free time” often feels like recovery time to me. My brain is processing so much information all day that quiet alone time isn’t optional — it’s how I reset.

3. Being present matters more to me than being constant.
When I’m with the people I love, I want to actually be there. Not distracted. Not exhausted. Not overwhelmed. Learning to protect my energy has helped me show up more fully in the moments we share.

4. Relationships have been part of my healing.
The people who have stayed in my life while I’ve been learning about myself have seen many versions of me — the overwhelmed version, the learning version, the growing version. Those relationships have been a huge part of my healing journey.

5. My brain moves through connection in its own rhythm.
Understanding that about myself has been freeing. My relationships don’t have to look exactly like everyone else’s to be real, meaningful, and deeply important to me.

I’m still learning.
Still understanding my brain.
Still growing.

But one thing I know for sure is that the people I love have played a huge role in that journey.

And I’m grateful for every moment of connection along the way.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen long after the wedding day. 🤍

Watching Scott open this gift honestly made my heart so full. The people who love us found ways to celebrate our marriage with us even if they couldn’t be there in person… and that means more than I can even put into words.

These aren’t just gifts.
They’re little reminders that our love story is surrounded by people who care about us and want to be part of it.

We’ll have these for the rest of our lives… and every time we see them, we’ll remember the love behind them.

My heart is so grateful. 🥹

Watching an old clip of me dancing today brought back so many memories… and it reminded me of three things that season of my life taught me.

1️⃣ My body is capable of so much more than I ever gave it credit for.
Three hours on the dance floor. Song after song. Leaving completely drenched in sweat from head to toe… and loving every second of it. I was always so proud of what my body could do.

2️⃣ Dancing isn’t just something I enjoy… it’s something my soul needs.
There’s something about the music, the movement, and the connection that just makes everything in me feel aligned.

3️⃣ When you’re truly in your element, people can feel it.
Everyone around me could see how happy I was when I was dancing. It wasn’t something I had to explain… it was just obvious.

Looking back at these videos reminded me how powerful it is to do the things that make you feel fully alive.

And I can’t wait to get back to more nights like this. 💃✨

One of the biggest mistakes I see in sales…

People trying to force the “right” solution instead of helping someone discover the right one.

Real sales isn’t convincing.
Real sales is problem solving.

And the best way to solve a problem?

Give people options.

Because here’s the reality…

There are almost always pieces of someone’s story that you don’t know to ask about yet.

And sometimes they don’t even know how to explain it.

But when you lay out a few different paths…

• different strategies
• different price points
• different timelines
• different approaches

Something interesting happens.

People start to finagle with the options.

They say things like:
“Actually… that wouldn’t work because…”
or
“Well what I really need is…”

And suddenly they start telling you the part of the story you didn’t know to ask about.

That’s where the real solution shows up.

Not because you pushed it.

But because you created space for it.

The best sales professionals aren’t pushing people into decisions.

They’re helping people find the right one.

Quick question for my fellow business owners and content creators…

How do you actually work B-roll recording into your day?

Not the “perfect, planned content day” version…
I mean the real life version.

The behind-the-scenes clips.
The little moments that help tell the story.

Because if you’ve ever tried to create content consistently, you know the struggle…

You sit down to post something and suddenly realize you have nothing visual to pair with it.

No clips.
No background footage.
Nothing that helps bring the story to life.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how to make this easier and more natural instead of something that feels like another task on the to-do list.

So I’m curious…

Do you batch it?
Do you just capture things as they happen?
Do you set reminders throughout the day?

Drop your thoughts below 👇

I’d love to hear how other people are doing this.
