Bonita Springs Bond Referendum Passes
Overwhelmingly!!

Yesterday, Bonita Springs voters overwhelmingly approved a landmark $35 million ballot measure to purchase land and fund a portion of construction of the Bonita Springs portion of a transformative new trail corridor, the Bonita Estero Rail Trail, creating a major new opportunity for outdoor recreation, connectivity, and quality of life in the community. The vote margin was 68.3% to 31.7%, better than 2:1 in favor. The record for turnout was also shattered for any primary for Bonita Springs by over 4,000 votes, demonstrating the voters determination for moving BERT forward.
