Who Supports the Caregiver?

When a loved one is living with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia, family members often become caregivers, advocates and sources of strength. But who supports the caregiver?

At The Crestmoor at Green Hills, we believe no one should navigate the dementia journey alone. That's why we're proud to partner with Alzheimer's Tennessee to launch a monthly Dementia & Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group—a welcoming space for caregivers to connect, learn, share experiences and find encouragement from others who understand.

Join us for our kickoff meeting on July 28 featuring Cheryl Blanchard, Regional Director of Alzheimer's Tennessee, who will share valuable resources and insights for families caring for loved ones with memory loss. Complimentary Silver Alert Kits will also be available for attendees.

🍩 A sweet celebration with a meaningful story behind it!

For National Donut Day, residents at The Crestmoor at Green Hills were honored to welcome Nashville Area Commander Major Bill Mockabee from The Salvation Army, who shared the fascinating history behind this beloved tradition, one that began during World War I.

Residents learned how the Salvation Army’s courageous “Donut Lassies” traveled to France in 1917 to establish field bases near the front lines, serving thousands of soldiers with comfort, care and a simple sweet treat that lifted spirits during difficult times.

We were also delighted by a special guest appearance from Miss Davidson County, a dedicated Salvation Army volunteer and upcoming Miss Tennessee pageant contestant.

A heartfelt thank you to our guests for making National Donut Day both delicious and meaningful at The Crestmoor! 💙🍩

A Wonderful Memorial Day at The Crestmoor at Green Hills 🇺🇸

Residents and guests enjoyed a classic picnic filled with delicious burgers, hot dogs and all the traditional sides while spending meaningful time together and honoring the spirit of the holiday.

The afternoon was made even more special with fantastic live music from 422 West, keeping everyone smiling, singing along and enjoying a beautiful day together.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸

We are deeply grateful for the courage, dedication and sacrifice of those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy each day. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the veterans, military families and loved ones whose service and support continue to inspire us.
