BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!💒👰🤵Dad & Mom were married on his Birthday 74 years ago TODAY! Mom had just turned 18, FEBRUARY 3rd, just graduated in January & married Dad 6 days later! Their legacy is one of HS SWEETHEARTS💕that endured much from complicated family dynamics, moving to GA while Dad was serving during the Korean War, struggles to start a family, to name a few! Their story is one of enduring love refined by years working through everything life could throw at them! Theirs is a testimony to never giving up & hanging on tight to one another! WOW! What a TOUCHING early BDAY gift from my OLDEST & DEAREST friend who’s also my pen pal since 1969 where We met as little girls in FL & been friends ever since! This gift 🎁 has special significance as it’s a treasured hand written recipe my Mom shared with Jill back in 2000, after a visit to WI for our daughter’s HS graduation. Unfortunately I didn’t have this recipe of Moms so was THRILLED when Jill shared it with me recently preserved forever in an acrylic frame! Such a precious remembrance of Mom & the phenomenal chef/baker she was! Mom definitely left an indelible mark on us all with her love & passion creating the most amazing & memorable meals!
