Yesterday, I was privileged to join three other awesome REMAX First Integrity Real Estate ladies at the East Central Educational Service Center for the “Inspire Your Future” event. In total, we got to help about 200 ninth-grade students from Shenandoah and Hagerstown experience a day in the life of a real estate agent!

This career event intended for students to learn more about their future career choices, all based on the RIASEC model/theory… which is pretty interesting when you look into it!!! REMAX represented the “E” in the name of this model, which stands for “Enterprising.”

We love having a facility right here in our community where students can explore careers by actually trying them out. These students got to work through the challenges of buying a home, negotiating an inspection, and helping sellers choose between offers… all very common in our industry! By the end of the day, Kristen and Holly had run through their challenges 42 times... l am grateful to say I split my challenge with Erica, so mine was only presented 21 times.. but still! Whew!! What a day!!! 😁💪

It was pretty awesome to catch up with my friend, Josh Bramlett, too. As this event’s “A” for “Artistic” presenter, Josh was able to share about his work with his company, Quiet Strength Design! Josh and his brother, Jarob, founded Quiet Strength Design, and they are the ones who designed my logo for me years ago! In a time where AI designs or use of stolen art is on the rise… it’s wise to remember that we can still make the choice to work with a local, experienced, and hardworking artist. Someone who can create original designs for you to stand out against the rest can never be replaced. 😉🎨

Yesterday, our REMAX First Integrity team spent the day at the East Central Educational Service Center with about 200 ninth graders from Shenandoah and Hagerstown at the Inspire Your Future career event!

We love having a facility right here in our community where students can explore careers by actually trying them out. Our agents gave them a taste of real estate with a few quick challenges involving buying a home, negotiating an inspection, and choosing between offers.

By the end of the day, we realized each agent had run through the simulation 42 times. We may need a day to recover before talking through another inspection response. 😂

A great deal of progress has been made for new construction of SFH here in New Castle!
