Sometimes the best part of this work isn't the projects we create — it's the people we meet along the way.

This month I was completely surprised by two guests who showed up with handmade gifts: a gorgeous piece of Kinusaiga (Japanese fabric mosaic art) of the UBR logo and a hand-forged weeding tool. Both made with so much skill and care, and both from the heart.

I don't have words for how much this means. Gifts like these remind me why I love what I do — the community, the generosity, the shared love of craft. Thank you doesn't feel like enough, but thank you. 🙏✨

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting a stunning bridal shower for the bride-to-be, Shelby — and what a day it was!

From our gorgeous Bloom Bar where guests crafted their own floral arrangements, to a sparkling Ch*****ne Tower, heartfelt games, and the warmth of family surrounding her every moment — this celebration was everything a bridal shower should be.

Shelby, you are so loved, and we are honored Urban Barn Retreat could be the backdrop for such a memorable milestone. Wishing you all the joy and happiness as you step into this next beautiful chapter. 💍
