When I started these monthly recaps, the idea was simple… stop looking at the whole year and start paying attention to life 30 days at a time.

So yes, my August recap is coming on September 3rd instead of September 1st. But maybe that’s part of it too. Give yourself some grace, celebrate the smaller wins and don’t let being a couple days late convince you that you missed the moment altogether.

August was full of real estate, community, good conversations, people I love, nine books, a little Harry Potter nostalgia and even a trip to look forward to.

A lot of life happened in those 31 days, and I’m glad I took a minute to look back at it.

Some homes are easier to describe by how they feel.

113 W Main Street in Stanley is one of those.

It feels like slow mornings in a rocking chair. Dinner around a table with people you love. A quiet corner to get a little work done. A fireplace, a good book, and nowhere else you need to be. A weekend away that starts to feel a whole lot like home.

Here for the house… and everything that comes after. 🤍

This carousel was inspired by real conversations I’ve had over just the last couple of weeks.

We adopted a dog!
