Been sitting with this question all week. There's a big difference between a tool and an employee.

Tool does what you tell it. You walk away, it stops. Employee knows the business. Catches stuff before you do. Gets better over time. Doesn't need you to hold its hand.

If you had something like that — what's the first thing you'd stop doing yourself?

So Wix just laid off 1,000 people. Intuit cut 3,000 last week. Everyone's reading that as bad news. I read it differently.

The gap between a big slow company and a small business running real AI just got smaller. The tools that used to cost millions are accessible to anyone now.

You don't need a department. You need the right system. Never been a better time to be the little guy.

The thing I always wanted — something that actually tracks whether what it did worked. And if it didn't, figures out why.

Not because I told it to. Just because that's how it's built.

Intuit just laid off 17% of their people.

CEO said it had nothing to do with AI but also said they're cutting all the coordination and middle-management roles to replace them with AI. So. Yeah. Make that make sense.

Here's the thing nobody's saying though — this isn't just a big company problem. This is the direction everything is moving. The gap between businesses running real AI and businesses running on vibes is getting wider every single week.
