The hilarious part is I probably look like I know what I’m doing, but I for sure don’t. My goal is not to be fast, it is just to finish the “trail” I chose for the time I had to get outside, enjoy nature, and take minute to get outside the “normal” parts of life. It’s hard to focus not he stressors of life when you are focusing on not hitting a tree on the trail!

Mountain biking has reminded me about how out of shape I am, how great being outside is, and a great reminder we can always try new things. It can be challenging for sure, but it’s a great way to remind me I need to stay at it to get in shape

📣 Ridge Loop Trail (Lake Lurleen State Park)- Coker, AL 📣 Hiking/mountain biking trail

When your recently renovated State Park opens back up and you now are developing a love for Mountain Biking, you get started trail by trail! My goal these days is to finish, to be steady, and to become stronger and stronger. There are a lot more trails to get to, but this is the first of my video work for them. Many more to come!

The Ridge Loop Trail is a great solid 4 mile loop trail to get a workout as a beginner/intermediate rider and is very well marked. The mile markers are good motivation too!

📣 Lake Lurleen State Park - Coker, Alabama (Tuscaloosa County) 📣 POST-renovation/upgrade update!

Join me on a bike ride around the recently updated and renovated Lake Lurleen State Park! Pardon the camera work, it was mounted on my helmet as I rode my bike through the campground…and I am a bit out of shape so it is what it is!

Some notable upgrades:
* New bathroom facilities everywhere
* Leveled all the campsites and added sewer connections!
* Enlarged the public areas and moved trailhead to front area
* More shelters for public use
