When installing cabinets, buy yourself a 40 dollar laser level. It is well worth the money. Find your highest corner and set the laser to that height on the cabinet. Shim the rest of the cabinets until the laser shows on the top edge of all your bases. Then you know you have it perfect.

This house was beautifully renovated. We went into the basement and found this. The upstairs of this house had a slant of at lease a couple of inches. This was an exterior wall at one point and an addition was added to the other side.

A prime example of why I advise 99.9 percent of clients from waiving inspections. Unless you are an inspector yourself, you should pay the money.
