I’ve been learning a lot lately and I have thought extensively about the challenges so many people face with their current living situations. I want to speak directly to those with these types of pain points that often get overlooked. Things like: If you’re renting, you know the struggle; watching rent increase ever so often while nothing about your financial situation improves much. Or maybe, feeling like you’re paying someone else’s mortgage while you build no equity of your own. For some, that sentence might actually go over your head. Over this weekend, information was reported to take effect 11/15/2025 that Fannie Mae has eliminated the old 620 credit score rule for those who may qualify for an FHA loan. This move would allow lenders to potentially use other forms of verified financial history, job history, rental history and more to establish creditworthiness.
This is a big deal for people who have been told “no” simply because of a number even when their real financial habits show they’re responsible and stable. This change could open the door for people who once thought they had no chance.
