Downtown Oklahoma City has spent years growing “up” (jobs, events, districts)… while everyday grocery access lagged behind. Even local writeups have framed new downtown-adjacent markets as pieces of the food desert solution, and development leaders have openly described efforts to bring the first full-service grocery concept into the urban core.

That gap matters more now than ever:
