Sometimes a move starts with a new job and ends with a new home, a happy dog, and a new friendship.

I met this buyer through relocation when she was moving to Omaha from out of state for a new job.
She knew she wanted a well-built home in an established neighborhood, with a nice yard for her adorable dog. We found a house with the space and layout she was looking for, but she wanted to make a few changes before moving in.

I helped coordinate the repairs and updates so the home would be ready for her arrival, and now she is settled in and making it her own.

Not long after, she sent me a video of her dog running through the backyard. Seeing that happy dog felt like the perfect stamp of approval.

At closing, she told me I was her first best friend in Omaha, and that truly made my heart happy.

A former coworker reached out and asked me to help her and her parents find a new home. The search was a fun process as we toured homes with pools, large basements, outbuildings, acreages and in a variety of neighborhoods. Sometimes it takes seeing different options and styles to understand what will work best for your family. In the end, they found a home with extra garage space for a workshop, a basement with its own kitchen and bathroom, and a beautiful open-concept main level. The bonus? A neighborhood pool to enjoy.

I was honored to help them explore the possibilities and find a home that fits this next chapter so well.

Some real estate transactions stay with you forever—and this is one of mine.

I was driving down Dodge Street when my phone rang. The caller asked if I would be willing to help him buy his first home. I teared up. He had been one of my kindergarten students during my years as a elementary teacher. Now, more than 20 years later, he was trusting me to guide him through one of life’s biggest milestones.

I was so excited to show him homes, answer his questions and help make the process feel clear and manageable. He found a house he truly loves, and watching him become a homeowner made me so proud.

This transaction will always hold a special place in my heart. Real estate is about so much more than houses. It is about relationships, trust and being there for people during meaningful life transitions.
