Our community just saw a massive $21 million investment to restore these local gems. It’s incredible to see: over 200,000 new native plants have been tucked into the sand to help stabilize the islands and give our local birds a safe place to call home.

As we head into boat season, let’s all do our part to keep the islands looking this good. Keep an eye out for the “Don’t Rock the Roost” rules! There are new No Wake and No Motor zones, and some spots are strictly off-limits to people and pets while the new greenery takes root. We want to make sure those 200,000 plants and nesting habitats are protected for the long haul.
