Still for sale...Beautiful home with the outdoor flowers blooming and the "lady at the well" fountain flowing. Let me know if you want to stop by to see! Here is a bit of history for you:

John Elihu Reeves, son of Jesse J. and Olive McCullough Reeves, was born in 1866 in McComb, Mississippi. He graduated in 1894 from Louisville, KY Medical College. He married Mary Theresa Vict and served as a physician in Kentwood, Tangipahoa Parish, LA, when his two daughters, Hazel and Grace, were born in March 1897 and October 1898. The family came to Orange in 1900, and Dr. Reeves served this community until his retirement from practice around 1930 in this very home. Our den area was the 1st dr. office in Orange! We have found many treasures in this home during this time period.
The home was then sold to Robert P. and wife Eleanor Olliffiant Turpin who changed the appearance from Victorian to Colonial in 1945. The before and after pictures are displayed in the home along with the original floor plans sketched in pencil. Robert worked for the Lutcher Moore Lumber Company. The first logs floated down the Sabine River was used to pine the family room. After Roberts death, Eleanor remained in the home until her death in 1998.
We bought the home in 1998 from the Turpin estate and completed a major remodel in 1999.
