Well, I'm gonna give you my thoughts on the meeting this past week. As I understand this the people that had the work done on their property replacing the brick facia with vinyl siding are responsible for the cost of this repair, not the entire association. Our properties are considered true townhomes, not condominiums. The difference being we are responsible for the exterior of our property. If this was a condominium are association dues would be much higher which I believe is why some people moved into this subdivision. I don't feel every property needs this work to be done. And I truly believe it is up to each individual homeowner to determine what they want to do on their property.
I do understand this is going to be a considerable cost for these people, but if that was my property I would've taken care of it years ago, not waiting for the association for years to complete this.
None of us pay $300 a year homeowners insurance. We all pay replacement costs on our insurance. That is why this is considered a true townhome. Let me know your thoughts
