Due to the hail storm this morning there is quite a bit of damage. We will get around to everyone to assess damage. What we need to know from you today is if you have a window broken all the way through that needs to be boarded before the next rain to prevent water damage. If you do you can send that work order in through your tenant portal or you can email it to us at [email protected]. This is for Benchmark Properties tenants only. Dont forget to unhook those hoses and leave faucets dripping. Best to keep your thermostat temp a bit higher than normal as well just in case you lose power. Keep cell phones charged. Stay safe this weekend!

A winter storm is predicted for our area beginning Sunday. Our crews are at the ready and are monitoring the weather forecast.

Lower temperatures can cause water lines to freeze. Take time now to unhook and drain your outdoor hoses and place protective coverings over outdoor faucets.

Please go ahead and check your furnace to make sure it works before the Thanksgiving break, change your filter, cover crawl spaces, open cabinets under sinks with exterior walls at night, and unplug your hoses from outside spigots. Change the batteries on your smoke alarms while you are at it as well!

Our office will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week. Bundle up and we hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Due to West Byers being shut down our office will be closed to incoming traffic. If you have a maintenance issue please call our office line to setup the call. However, you will need to be home to have a contractor do work today since our office is inaccessible. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

TIRE AMNESTY DAYS RETURN IN MAY

The Tire Amnesty program is returning to Daviess County this spring!

Daviess County Fiscal Court will partner with the Division of Waste Management in the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet.

The free tire disposal event is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25 at the State Maintenance Garage on Fairview Drive.

Most tires will be accepted, including farm implement, bicycle, motorcycle, go-cart, ATV, tractor, truck & passenger.

Excluded from the list is off-road construction tires, tracks or solid tires.

We are looking for a maintenance contractor that has a business license, is insured, and does not mind doing work on occupied rental properties. The types of maintenance are vast (caulk tubs, fence repairs, repair bi-folds, repair bath fans, etc.), so would need to be a jack of all trades. Contractor will not necessarily receive work every day, but potentially every week. If anyone is interested, please email your information and hourly rate to us at [email protected].

Free Paper Shredding two weeks away, get your confidential dated documents ready!

The Free Paper Shredding Collection event is March 22, 2024 at the Owensboro Sportscenter.

Piranha Mobile Shredding will be on site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All Daviess County residents, businesses, and institutions may participate with a limit of 100 lb. per person.
