Last Thursday a friend from Indonesia graduated from Polimoda in Florence.
It was an honor to be there for her.

Today at Community caffè at TSH I met two new potential friends & collaborators.

I feel rich.

MAKE A WISH…

It’s a secret what you wish for on your birthday when you blow out the candle isn’t it?

Today at the Kraft Hotel in Via Solferino in the Vespucci area of Florence by the Arno River, Ela and I celebrated my birthday.

What a treat!

High above on the rooftop deck with views of the Duomo and Campanile we enjoyed Salade Nicoise, Prosecco, and a Rasberry crème brûlée.

To die for.

PACIFIC PALISADES. I’m jazzed at the the high energy construction going on everywhere in the Palisades. ALERT: Best lots are going fast.

MONTANA AVE.Charming as ever! And the vibe? 100% awesome.

SHUTTERS AT THE BEACH. Where ocean and chic meet. Still the “IT” place to see and be seen!

DISNEY HALL. Wagner Opera. Dudamel conducting. Not to miss him before he leaves for N.Y.

PASADENA PLAYHOUSE “Brigadoon” what a performance. Intense and exciting. Downtown Pasadena is a jewel. Worth the drive!

WAYMOS WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

LA in Culver City way in the industrial part of the city south of Washington Blvd
WAYMOS take a SIESTA.

Monitored by ONE lone guard we saw one WAYMO after another go park, turn on their blue light and take a breather.

The Operstor said when the blue light was on, all was OK.

If the light was yellow they were COMMUNICATING with the Techiciam
at headquarters somewhere in LA to resolve some problem.

To charge they go to Westwood.

I’m amazed still very afraid of them, I see in LA that they are multiplying like there’s no tomorrow.

I did learn, and I’m happy to report this: behind the scenes in a warehouse in an industrial part of this town, there are Technicians who constantly monitor the rides.

So it’s AUTONOMOUS DRIVING alright but with human oversight.

That’s reassuring to me.

It made me stop and think…

But not yet enough to make me try one!
