Imagine walking through the front door of a home built 1,700 years ago for a Roman Emperor?

I’m standing inside the Vestibule of Diocletian’s Palace in Split, Croatia, the monumental entrance that once led into Emperor Diocletian’s private apartments.

Built around 300 AD, this wasn’t simply a palace. It was an enormous imperial complex, and what makes it extraordinary today is that Split didn’t just grow around it, the city grew inside it.

Seventeen centuries later, people still live, work, eat and gather within the walls of an emperor’s home.

I couldn’t be in Lisbon for Casa e Cozinha’s new-season launch next week, but I still wanted to be part of the evening.

We planned to record a message outside, but Florida is unbelievably hot right now and I was melting almost immediately. We had to move quickly, bring everything inside and create a pop-up studio on the fly.

The reason was simple. I wanted to say hello to the viewers watching Passport Properties with Billy Nash across Portugal and personally thank Casa e Cozinha for supporting the series and bringing it to audiences throughout the country.

A little improvisation in Florida to make sure a sincere message reached Lisbon.

Behind these gates in the Moroccan desert, homes range from $10 million to $60 million.

From above, it appears like a mirage: more than 30 extraordinary residences surrounded by palms, gardens and endless desert.

I stepped inside one of them, a magnificent Moroccan palace hidden within this private oasis. It was one of those places that simply takes your breath away.

The scale was incredible, but the craftsmanship throughout was mind-boggling. Everywhere I looked was another reflection of the skill, precision and artistry of Moroccan craftsmen.

That craftsmanship is as much a part of this palace as its architecture, and it is exactly the kind of story I wanted Passport Properties to tell.

This is how you end a day in Croatia.

After exploring an extraordinary property in Dubrovnik, I joined the owner’s wife at Restaurant Leut in Cavtat. The lobster in this ceviche had been caught in the waters behind us just hours earlier and served with black truffle. Incredible.

You don’t expect to find this in the heart of London. 🇬🇧

Walking through this beautifully renovated residence in Belgravia with Stephanie, we stepped onto something incredibly rare, a private terrace overlooking one of the neighborhood’s historic communal gardens.

Nearly 200 years ago, Belgravia was transformed into the elegant terraces and garden squares that still define it today.

What I love is what you don’t see from the street. Behind these historic façades are incredible green spaces reserved for the residents surrounding the square.

A beautiful oasis in the heart of London.
