I had one of those moments today that reminded me why I love what I do.

I was driving home and happened to pass by one of my buyer’s new homes.

Through the kitchen window, I could see him standing there hugging his wife. Both of them smiling. Just enjoying their new home together.

They had no idea I was driving by.

And for a while, I just smiled too.

Because we spend so much time in real estate talking about interest rates, payments, negotiations, contracts, inspections and closing dates that it’s easy to forget what all of that work is actually for.

It’s for moments like this.

A kitchen where a family will have dinner together.

A living room where birthdays and Christmas mornings will happen.

Bedrooms their kids will grow up in.

A place where ordinary days eventually become memories.

I get to be there for the tours, the paperwork, the negotiations and eventually the handing over of the keys.

But sometimes the sweetest part is catching a glimpse of what happens after the keys are handed over.

Today was one of those moments.

I love what I do. ❤️🏡
