Before we go look at homes, getting a pre-approval is so important. 🏡
I’ve shown houses to people who relied on online calculators and thought they knew their price range… but ended up being way off. So going to look at homes in the wrong price range was a huge waste of time. 🫠
A lender will give you the real numbers, and even then, just because you’re approved for a certain amount doesn’t mean it actually fits your budget. You have to factor in things like rising property taxes, insurance, and day-to-day expenses.
A pre-approval saves everyone time and gets you on the right path from day one!
A little tip: ask your lender for the breakdown of numbers such as what your monthly cost would be. This helps tremendously when factoring in your budget and deciding what price range WORKS FOR YOU! 👏🏼
AGAIN- just because you’re preapproved for up to a certain amount DOES NOT mean you can afford up to that amount! You have to look at ALL of your monthly costs together.
