Springtime is always a good time of year to think about refreshing your home. From Spring cleaning to organizing, or decorating or remodeling your home, here are some things that are not only on trend for 2025, but also are guaranteed to stick around for years to come!

Find Quality Furniture that Lasts
A smart investment is purchasing quality furniture that will last many years. Yes, great looking furniture is the first thing that catches our eye, but what’s on trend for 2025 is looking for items that are made well. My recommendation is to examine the material, construction, finish, and hardware. Does it feel solid? Is it free of creeks? Does it have a smooth and even finish? Gone are the days of buying cheap, disposable, poorly made furniture only to purchase something else in a few years. Many homeowners replace furniture every 10 to 12 years. Why not purchase furniture that will match that timeline?

Incorporate Wellness in Design
After the pandemic, many people prioritized mental and self care. There’s been an increasing trend to transform the home into a space that promotes that. Design a bathroom that is made to feel like a spa by incorporating a steam shower head, large soaking tub, plush white towels, and a scent of eucalyptus. Speaking of scents, have you ever noticed the smell when you walk into a hotel? There’s a way to have that same experience in your home. There are waterless essential oil aroma scent diffusers that attach to your HVAC system, which blow air throughout the vents; taking the amazing scent of lavender and vanilla (my favorites!) throughout the house.

I hope 2022 was good to you! Whether it was saying goodbye to an old home, getting acquainted with a new home, or even updating your current digs, I hope you were able to enjoy your home journey. In 2022, I was honored to help 27 staging clients, 6 design clients, 2 home organization clients, and 4 repeat clients locally and virtually! I’ve partnered with 13 real estate agents and networked with dozens of real estate stakeholders throughout the year. Being part of this ecosystem has afforded me with lifetime partnerships and friendships all by doing what I love to do, which is decorating! I'm so grateful to enter into a new year with blessings, overflow, and abundance. My prayer is for you to have the same! So cheers to a new year!
