Do you have plans this weekend? There are lots of events happening in our community this weekend and these are just a few.

Communities are built by people. To build a strong community, you have to build up and encourage the people. I love seeing events where you can do just that and have fun with your family at the same time!

Paws Humane Society will be hosting a fundraiser at Woodruff Park Saturday afternoon, Midland Community Farmer’s Market will have many local vendors on hand selling a variety of homemade items Saturday morning and the Columbus Community Orchestra will be performing at St. Mark UMC in honor of Memorial Day.

If you don’t have a church you’re attending Sunday morning, I would like to invite you to The River of Columbus. We have service at 10:30 am. You will hear the word of God preached with great boldness and if you need a miracle, Sunday will be your day! Come join us. You will be blessed!

Congratulations to my sweet buyers on purchasing their new home!

This couple and I met over coffee. Through this journey of finding them a home we laughed, encouraged one another, prayed for each other and shed a few happy tears along the way.

As soon as they walked through this home, they told me this was the one. There were already multiple offers on the table, but I’m so glad we were able to work together on strategies to bring their offer to the top.

I’m very excited for them to make this their home and enjoy many years of memories here! I am so thankful for the people the Lord brings into my life through this business!

You may hear the term Realtor and Real Estate Agent used interchangeably like they are the same thing, but did you know there is actually a difference?

A Real Estate Agent is licensed by the state to help people buy, sell, or rent real estate.

A Realtor is also a Real Estate agent with a license from the state to help people buy, sell or rent real estate. But, what sets Realtors apart is that they have also become a member of the National Association of Realtors and are held to a higher standard called the Code of Ethics. These are a set of regulations and standards to help ensure that the Realtor is conducting their business ethically. These standards are based on the golden rule from Matthew 7:12, "Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you."

So, the next time you meet a Real Estate Agent ask them if they are a Realtor.

My twin boys are in 3rd grade and they love learning about all the presidents, what their names are and what they did while they were in office. I am thankful for those who have come before and stepped up to lead, those who wrote our Constitution based on the Word of God, and those who have continued to fight to preserve our freedom while in office. I am praying for future leaders that they will be godly leaders who stand on the Word of God and serve Jesus above all else!

May we be those leaders ourselves in whatever capacity we serve, and may we raise strong, godly leaders for the future.

I am so thankful we live in a great community with fun things to do together as a family. From Callaway Gardens, to the Riverwalk and everything in between, there are so many activities to enjoy.

My husband, Nathan, and I haven't been to The Little White House in Warm Springs, GA since we were our kids age. So, we decided to take a Saturday and go for a tour.

We were able to see so many pieces of history including a stagecoach, Franklin D. Roosevelt's car from the 1930's, a miniature traveling organ that was used by traveling preachers and missionaries of the time, and so much more.

If you've never been or it's been a while and you love history as much as my family, I highly reccommend it!
