Knocked out a little finish grading around this new construction for some friends in Doerun earlier this week 🤙

This customer had been dealing with water running under his pole barn and washing the floor out for quite a while. To remedy this issue, we used sandy clay to raise the grade inside the structure approximately 3 inches. We then capped it with 10 tons of screened asphalt millings compacted at 3 inches thick to bring the total elevation change to 6”, eliminating the drainage issue and providing the customer with a solid base to store his equipment on.

Quick little back yard extension in Pavo to kick off the week!

We finished out the week with this driveway install in Pavo. We moved the entrance to a new location, replacing the culvert pipe and allowing a straight shot from the road to the building. The new driveway was then capped with 45 tons of GAB crusher run and compacted. And yes, it was misaligned with the asphalt on purpose 😉

No gravel was added in any of these pictures. This is the power of a good box grader! With this tool, we can remove grass strips, scratch out potholes, and bring that packed in or washed out gravel that you’ve already paid for back to the surface. With aggregate prices through the roof as they have been lately, adding fresh rock annually isn’t always feasible. Quick little driveway install in Moultrie we knocked out this week. We used sandy clay for backfill and capped it with geotex fabric and 10 tons of GAB. This combo will hold up good for years with minimal maintenance needed.
