It’s a fun week to call Perry home! 🌲🎡

Forest Festival week is here, and our little town has plenty going on! Carnival rides, fireworks, downtown festivities, and a Saturday full of familiar faces.

A couple things to check off by Wednesday:
🍩 Pre-order your Johnson's Bakery donuts for the parade. Parade watching requires snacks, y’all!
🎟️ Grab your advance carnival tickets from the ladies at Taylor County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism

Wednesday is the deadline for both, so don’t put it off!

Here’s this week’s lineup:

🎡 Wednesday, Oct. 21–Saturday, Oct. 24: Carnival

🎆 Thursday, Oct. 22: Fireworks at Perry-Foley Airport at 8 p.m. sharp!

🏘️ Friday, Oct. 23: Downtown fun!
• 6:15 p.m. Kids’ Parade
• 6:45 p.m. Strut Your Mutt Contest
• 7 p.m. Bed Race

🌲 Saturday, Oct. 24: Festival Day!
• 9:30 a.m. King Tree Parade downtown
• All day: Arts & crafts, live music, classic cars, and more at Forest Capital State Park
• Noon: World’s Largest Free Fish Fry at the park!

I get to help people find a home here, but weeks like this remind me why I love calling it home myself.

If you don’t have a sense of humor, just keep on scrolling. 🫣

This lady has had me looking into all kinds of properties for what feels like years, trying to figure out the best option for her family to come back home. And I haven’t minded one bit! That’s a big decision, and I wanted them to find the right fit.

Well, while we were walking this 20 acre property she wandered off for a minute, came back and said, “I peed on it, it’s mine.” Then moments later… “You wanna go to the new thrift store?” 😂 Y’all already know these are my kind of people!

When I saw this picture she made with the sign, I DIED! 🤣 She claimed it then, but now we’ve got the paperwork to make it official. JUST CLOSED!

So thankful y’all let me play a part in bringing you back home. I can’t wait to see what you do with your little piece of Taylor County! ❤️

Five-year-olds in formal wear… how could you not love it?

The Little King & Queen pageant has always been one of my favorite Florida Forest Festival events, and I loved getting to go watch those cuties last night! You never know what they might say or do, and that’s half the fun.

Special shoutout to my beautiful little Lizzie & Miss Ida for coming in 1st runner-up!
So proud of these sweet & sassy girls! 👑

You’re allowed to be curious. You can ask what your house might sell for without deciding to sell it. You can ask about buying even if you’re a year away and have no clue where to start.
